I don’t like anything that even remotely suggests alcohol; my sister is the opposite & was THRILLED when I gave her these. She said they were delicious & decadent & wants me to buy her some more.

I expected much more from a product positioned like that. The packaging could be better but most importantly the used grease (cocoa butter or whatever that is) has unpleasant consistency, the taste is hardly distinguishable, it is not "bright". One extra star for original taste idea but the execution is far from being perfect. The price - quality ratio is terrible.
Our cacao comes from non-certified organic farms. We personally know each of the farmers and their farms and conduct several monitoring visits per year to ensure no synthetic or chemical inputs are used.
To'ak has long gone well beyond Fair Trade, paying up to 700% above the local market price for wet cacao. While cacao prices are always fluctuating, To'ak continues to pay the true cost of cacao.
